International exhibition of children's drawings "The World was saved by a Soviet soldier", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War
The editorial office of the Internet portal "Polk.Press" often receives letters with drawings and collages dedicated to Victory Day. Most recently, we published pictures of childrens work that became finalists of the competition, which was organized by the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan. Children's drawing contests dedicated to the "Year of Memory and Glory" and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory was held in Germany, Great Britain, Portugal, Ireland, and Qatar. And since this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, most of the events were held online, we decided to organize a virtual exhibition of children's works dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.
For this exhibition, we selected the works of children of different ages, and not all participants have years of study at an art school and the skills of "great painters" behind them, but each of them put a piece of their soul into the work, made efforts and gave us the opportunity to look at Great Victory, through the eyes of a child!
When we conceived this exhibition, we understood that it would most likely be held online, but the organizers really wanted to give all young talents the opportunity to feel like real, venerable artists. Therefore, all the works presented at the exhibition were inserted into heavy, baguette frames, like the best canvases by world-famous artists, exhibited in the halls of the Hermitage, the Prado Museum and the Louvre. The works that you will see at our exhibition were sent from such exotic corners of the world that it is difficult even to imagine. And the most amazing thing is that in all these countries there is a Russian-speaking diaspora, and the Immortal Regiment is taking place on Victory Day!
On September 2, 2020 we will present to your attention, a new international project dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, in which young artists from seventy-five countries of the world took part: Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Australia, Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Benin and Togo, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Egypt, Zambia, Israel, India, Jordan, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Cameroon, Qatar, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, China, Colombia, Korea, Costa Ricky, Cote d'Ivoire, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, LPR, Mauritius, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, Mozambique, Moldova, Mongolia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, UAE, Oman, Palestine, Panama, Portugal, Russia, Republic Congo, Northern Ireland, Senegal, Serbia, Singapore, Syria, USA, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Philippines, Finland, France, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden, Ecuador, Estonia and South Africa.
